Sky Blue Skye

A few months back, I saw this beautiful light blue romper from Miss Selfridge. But when I checked the price tag, it didn't seem as appealing anymore.. So for the longest time, I have been searching other stores for something similar and at a price that would not burn a hole in my wallet. Alas, I was unsuccessful. 

Two days earlier, I find myself in Miss Selfridge again. I am browsing through the sales rack and I spot the same light blue romper. In my size. Being sold for thirty percent of its original price.

I am happy.

Strawberry Patches

Last week, my mom went on a business trip to Japan so I asked her to buy me more film for my Instax. I was quite surprised to receive this along with my film when she got back! It's a normal Instax Mini 7S but it comes with these cute strawberry decal stickers that you can put on the camera. Since I don't plan on having two Instax cameras, I'll be looking for a new home for this one! 

Many Shades of Gray

There's something so nice and alluring about gray cotton shirts; they're just so comfortable to wear! I find myself buying one whenever I spot one with a nice print or logo. Here are some of the shirts I've bought within the past few weeks --- all from Forever 21. Now it's time to save, and hopefully, not spend that money on more gray shirts, ha ha.

A Little Reminder

I bought this cute keychain from a gift store in Hokkaido. It cost quite a lot, 800 yen to be exact.. Normally I wouldn't spend such a large amount for a keychain, but I have so many fond memories of Hokkaido that I really wanted to get something equally as wonderful to bring with me. And I absolutely love that it's made of wood (I looove wood). I guess it's kind of symbolic of Hokkaido? Lots of trees, amazing, and expensive, ha ha!

By the way I'm having some trouble uploading photos to Blogger. For some reason, my photos desaturate when I open them on my editor. Would anyone know how to fix this? :<

Good things come to those who wait

 I've been wanting a Fujifilm Instax ever since I was introduced to it by my Korean friend a few months ago, but I was never able to buy one for myself because it was just way too expensive. It would have cost me around 5,000 pesos (approximately $120), and that's not even including the extremely pricey film. So when I saw boxes of them stacked on a shelf in Don Quixote in Osaka, almost as if it were just a staple good, I knew it was my chance to finally get one for myself. I was ecstatic; Not only could I finally have my own Instax, but it sold for just a little more than 5,000 yen, almost half the price of getting one here in the Philippines or through eBay! And of course I bought some film for it, too. I got a pack of fifty sheets of film for around 2,500 yen. I was a very satisfied shopper, indeed.

Hong Kong Photo Diary Part I

One of the stores my mama and I visited is called L.A.M.B., and I was so happy to see all the fur coats, cute dresses and scarves. Can't really wear them in the Philippines, though. SO I TOOK PICTURES INSTEAD (furtively).

My boyfriend granted me permission to take Totoro along. (Yay!) I was taking pictures of Totoro in a restaurant when the waiter came over, said something in Chinese and laughed. Based on his facial expression, I think he meant to say something along the lines of "what a funny girl, taking pictures of her stuffed toy." I hope.

Most of these photos were taken on my first and second day (and night) in Hong Kong. I'm glad that my family and I finally decided to have a leisurely vacation. My mother, being the semi-ADHD and workaholic she is, usually cannot stand doing nothing for a long time. During our family trips, she likes to walk miles on end, until our feet are bleeding internally. She could probably shop until her feet bleed, really. Then again, so could I. What are large-sized feet for anyway, right? Aside from stomping on things. 

I regret not buying that FUNKY FUNKY jacket, but by the time I had reached that store, I had already purchased a number of thick pieces of clothing that probably won't be used until I travel again. Of course, if I am lucky, the weather during Christmas will be cold enough to wear them? I could also put the air conditioner on full blast. Or go to the movies looking like a pimp (with mah furry goodz).

Summer Shopping

Shopping spreeeeeeeee!!

Gosh, lately I've been spending so much on myself, but at least I bought these goodies from inexpensive stores *cough* Greenhills *cough*! There's nothing like a good bargain hunting on a boring day. Honestly, I am very happy (and tired) with the things I've bought today, though I really gotta cut down on the expenses. (_ _;;)

Item #1: a Zebra-print cardigan

The cardigans I've bought/seen from Forever 21 and Zara similar to this design cost around P900 - P1,000. That's about $20 - $27! That's already a huge chunk of my prize money *cough* (from graduation). Plus, I have yet to see any cardigan like this (with zebras AND stars) from big brands. SO, how much do you think this cardigan costs?

Now I feel bad about not buying the other cardigans from that store. There were three other cardigans in different designs. Actually, there was another cardigan with the same pattern but differently colored. If I remember correctly, the cloth of the cardigan was navy blue, and the zebras were colored a light blue and red, and the stars were colored yellow. I would have purchased that one instead, had my sister not stopped me and said "It looks like a pajama top," and "Why are the zebras blue and red??" I mock her with a ditzy voice.

Item #2: crocheted vest

This I bought from a boutique inside the mall called Nava. This store is definitely one of my new favorites! The store attracted me from a distance away, with their delicately dressed mannequins and their brightly lit store ornately decorated store. Nava sold clothes that remind me of Japanese fashion magazines. They sold maxi dresses, vests, sun hats, shorts, sleeveless tops, belts, knee-length dresses, skirts, caps, etc., all in such cute fabric. Many of these were floral prints, others were not.

Lately, I've begun to realize how much the littlest details can add so much to the entire outcome, so I bought these hair accessories from another boutique called Amanda's Place. The store sold both clothing and accessories, the clothes a little not worth it too plain for me, but the accessories were pretty cool. Had I been given the chance to buy more accessories from there, I would have. But, luckily for me, my stomach was stoping me from buying any more. No, not my gut. I was pretty hungry by the time I had gotten to this store (after hours of window shopping and walking, walking walking), I was already shaking. LOL. So I hurried and went to the food court. c:
