My Fickle Mind

Hello everyone!

I haven't been updating my blog recently, and the reason for that is because I've made another blog.. I don't quite have the heart to let go of The Jessicat, and I might post here again. But if you'd like to continue reading my blog, click on the image above.

Thank you so much!

An endless walk around Hong Kong

Last week, my family and I traveled to Hong Kong for a little vacation. My sister and I did so much walking that every night, by the time we'd get back to our hotel room, we barely had the energy to walk or stand. In a city like Hong Kong, you've got to walk quickly! I find that early mornings, around 10 a.m., are the most peaceful and quiet time of the day.

I'm sorry for the lack of posts! I've been stuck in a rut lately. Currently doing some reflecting on life and what-not. I hope you are all doing well!

Happy Blues

Happy Blues

Light shades of blue that make me happy on clothes with prices that make me sad, ha ha. :3

Sky Blue Skye

A few months back, I saw this beautiful light blue romper from Miss Selfridge. But when I checked the price tag, it didn't seem as appealing anymore.. So for the longest time, I have been searching other stores for something similar and at a price that would not burn a hole in my wallet. Alas, I was unsuccessful.

Two days earlier, I find myself in Miss Selfridge again. I am browsing through the sales rack and I spot the same light blue romper. In my size. Being sold for thirty percent of its original price.

I am happy.

Strawberry Patches

Last week, my mom went on a business trip to Japan so I asked her to buy me more film for my Instax. I was quite surprised to receive this along with my film when she got back! It's a normal Instax Mini 7S but it comes with these cute strawberry decal stickers that you can put on the camera. Since I don't plan on having two Instax cameras, I'll be looking for a new home for this one!

Afternoon Treat

Perhaps the best jam I've ever had! I was browsing through a little store called St. Cousair while I was in Japan. I was so surprised and happy when I saw jars of jam labelled 'matcha milk' and 'strawberry milk'. Who knew such flavors existed? I couldn't resist buying them, of course. It was worth every yen.

Memories of Spring

Many months have passed but the memories of spring are etched in my mind.
Taken in Osaka, Japan during early April. Forgive me for posting almost five months later, ha ha!

Around Ilocos in Three Days

Here are more pictures from my trip to Ilocos! My family and I only stayed there for three days, and with the little time we had, the tour guide brought us to as much tourist destinations as possible. I got to visit the famous Bangui Windmills, Paoay Church, Baluarte Zoo, and Vigan City, just to name a few. The tour was so jam-packed that I didn't have any time to go to the beach! Oh well.. With all the food I ate, I wouldn't have wanted to expose my large belly anyway. :3

Many Shades of Gray

There's something so nice and alluring about gray cotton shirts; they're just so comfortable to wear! I find myself buying one whenever I spot one with a nice print or logo. Here are some of the shirts I've bought within the past few weeks --- all from Forever 21. Now it's time to save, and hopefully, not spend that money on more gray shirts, ha ha.

It's Been Three Long Years, Do You Still Love Me?

Last August 19, my boyfriend and I celebrated a milestone in our relationship: it was our three-year anniversary! Sadly, we weren't able to spend it together, but he wanted to at least show to me what he had prepared for me. That night, he posted a sweet message and a couple of photos of his gift on Facebook (we're not usually as cheesy and lovey-dovey in public though, ha ha). And after a few days, I was finally able to see my present and bring it home! It is perhaps the sweetest gift I've ever received.

During one of our car rides going home together, we heard this nice, old-fashioned song playing on the radio. We listened to it together, teary-eyed towards the end because we were so moved by how sweet and beautiful the story of the song was. It was the inspiration for this gift. Thank you, Andre, for all the excruciating pain you endured tying a hundred yellow ribbons 'round the triangulares plant.

Paradise in the Sun

Many moons ago, my family and I traveled north of Manila to tour around Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur. Here are some pictures I took when we visited the Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. Maybe you can tell from the bright and sunny sky (as well as the luminosity of these photos), but it was incredibly sunny and hot; I had to carry around an umbrella with me so that I wouldn't get sunburn.

Heat aside, it was a wonderful experience visiting this place. We had to trek towards the actual monument, passing through fields of grass, hills, puddles of crystal clear water, and a lot of rocks. Some locals offered horse rides through the path for a quicker and less tiring walk, and there were even drink vendors in some spots, ha ha. On the way, I noticed a bridge and a path being constructed, which makes me a little sad that they're adulterating the natural landscape. Oh well, at least it would make the trek to the rock formation much safer. One of my mom's friends tripped and scraped her knee, although I'm sure that the view was worth a few battle scars.
