Hong Kong Photo Diary Part I

One of the stores my mama and I visited is called L.A.M.B., and I was so happy to see all the fur coats, cute dresses and scarves. Can't really wear them in the Philippines, though. SO I TOOK PICTURES INSTEAD (furtively).

My boyfriend granted me permission to take Totoro along. (Yay!) I was taking pictures of Totoro in a restaurant when the waiter came over, said something in Chinese and laughed. Based on his facial expression, I think he meant to say something along the lines of "what a funny girl, taking pictures of her stuffed toy." I hope.

Most of these photos were taken on my first and second day (and night) in Hong Kong. I'm glad that my family and I finally decided to have a leisurely vacation. My mother, being the semi-ADHD and workaholic she is, usually cannot stand doing nothing for a long time. During our family trips, she likes to walk miles on end, until our feet are bleeding internally. She could probably shop until her feet bleed, really. Then again, so could I. What are large-sized feet for anyway, right? Aside from stomping on things.

I regret not buying that FUNKY FUNKY jacket, but by the time I had reached that store, I had already purchased a number of thick pieces of clothing that probably won't be used until I travel again. Of course, if I am lucky, the weather during Christmas will be cold enough to wear them? I could also put the air conditioner on full blast. Or go to the movies looking like a pimp (with mah furry goodz).

More photos to come!

I Don't Care if Monday's Blue

This is how I dress up for Halloween. I wore a blue mustache. "Mustache."
Naah, just kidding. I wouldn't wear something so cheap for Halloween. Actually, I didn't dress up for it at all, 'tis sad. I think most of the people in my neighborhood have grown up, didn't really feel the spirit of Halloween. It grows weaker and weaker each year.. WAIT A MINUTE! I meant happy Halloween, not sappy Halloween, my bad.

Just one question, when did your local stores start selling Christmas-related goods? Because the Philippines starts getting ready once we hit the -ber months. I saw one bookstore selling Christmas trees and all that jazz on the first week of September. . .

Merry Christmas everybooty.

Army of Cutie Pies

My boyfriend has a giant sack (garbage bag-sized, oh wait, it is a garbage bag. But it's clean, of course.) of Beanie Babies and other miscellaneous stuffed critters. Seriously, he must have more than fifty. Beats my childhood Barbie collection by far! It's quite fun playing around with these fellows, so amusing. Pusheen enjoys having his/her (undecided) photo taken.

Just got back from Hong Kong last midnight.   \o/

Fish Ice Cream

Lol. I only just researched/googled about what the name of this dessert was, and the first link that appeared was from a website called uglyfood.com. What do you think, ugly or not ugly? Because I think it's cute, and my taste buds tell me that it's really yummy (not for the red bean haters).

By the by, that isn't me on the photo, just to point it out. People often comment about how much my boyfriend and I look alike! Sometimes, for fun, my boyfriend tries to tell others we are cousins or brother and sister. Then we hold hands and freak them out. Tee hee.

Out and About at Saint's Alp Teahouse

The milk tea craze has really been on fire here in the Philippines, and I hope it doesn't fizz out like the frozen yogurt because I really really enjoy getting fat with a large cup of milk tea! Saint's Alp only opened recently near my university, and my boyfriend and I decided to try it out.

I ordered myself some green tea with milk and pearls, as well as a piece of peanut butter toast. Yummy, yummy. They were definitely made better by the ambiance, gotta love cafes with cute furniture. I can't believe I missed the free black tea with milk promo :<

Pusheen, Pusheen to the Limit, Limit

Once again, I have neglected my blog due to a lot of crap I have to do for school. Sigh, it's actually already the start of my semestral break, and by that I mean all my class have ended. However, finals happen during the start of the break, so I have to spend practically half of my break studying for tests, and taking them, fretting about failing and doing really badly in all my classes.

On another note, le boyfriend finally gave me his late anniversary gifts! I'm so happy (thank you Ander ;__;), especially with Pusheen, the fat cat plushie~ I believe it's a fair exchange for the three Totoros. He also got me the earrings shown on the photos (right beside my pimples). These photos were taken at the mall. The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf was having an event with the release of their new espresso machine. It's so cute! I wish I could get one, though I am not willing to spend fourteen thousand bucks on it. Oh well, more green tea lattes it is!

P.S. The title of the post is a reference to that High School Musical song with the basketball players and the pushing to the limit, you know?
P.P.S. First post on my new(?) blog!
P.P.S.S. Can you tell why my blog name is now The Red Beret Girl?

A Day with Totoro and Andre

Hello world, I have entered the realm of the internet to show-off my really nifty gift of luuurve to my boyfriend. AREN'T YOU JELLY??

Because I am.

I gave these cute Totoro's to my boyfriend and he won't even let me borrow them!! (I could only take pictures of them at his house..) But that's ok, I guess. I'll be getting my gift soon too, right Andre?

Until we meet again, Totoros...!
P.S. I'd like to thank Andre for being my man muse, even if just for a second or two.

If I Lived in a Forest in Siberia

I would like to wear all of these. Lately I've been getting inspiration from Princess Mononoke and Pocahontas, but trying to wear any of these get-ups in the Philippines is like purposefully wanting to die of heat stroke. DARN IT, I WANT TO LOOK LIKE A GIRL FROM THE WOODS. Why does Topshop have to be so expensive? Euro, you powerful currency, you.
