As I Watched the Flower Wither

These photos were taken on my way to the hospital. You probably have an idea how bad the traffic can get in manila, most of these lights were from cars, ha ha. (I think these blurred light effects are called bokeh.) I didn't know that the raindrops would help to produce such nice photos.

That week was quite draining for my family and I, going back and forth to the hospital, socializing with relatives, staying up late and what-not. I am just glad that I was able to be there for my grandmother. It's great to know that even though she was in a coma, she could still hear us talking to her. At times, tears would accumulate at the corner of her eyes when we spoke to her.

To My Dearest Grandmother

When God Lets My Body Be

From each brave eye shall sprout a tree
fruit that dangles therefrom

the purpled world will dance upon
Between my lips which did sing

a rose shall beget the spring
that maidens whom passion wastes

will lay between their little breasts
My strong fingers beneath the snow

Into strenuous birds shall go
my love walking in the grass

their wings will touch with her face
and all the while shall my heart be

With the bulge and nuzzle of the sea

The Life

For some reason, my shoulders always ache when I carry any bag. Even though the only things in it are my wallets and cellphone. Sigh, I am such a delicate flower (ha ha!), but thankfully I've got my manly boyfriend-slave. Just look at his neck and shoulders, they're so handsome, seriously. Anyway, this is what we like to do, spend moola time together and chill.
